About What A Crock! Pottery

What A Crock began in the late 1970's as owner/artist Cindy Wilkins took evening pottery classes from a local Junior College.  Soon, her own wheel and kiln were purchased and the beginning of What A Crock was formed.  During the 1980's, Cindy spent most of her time making pottery to sell at local craft shows in the Chicagoland vicinity.  With the birth of her first two sons, pottery was an excellent way to be a "work-at-home" mommy.  Husband Byron started her web site in 1998 and it immediately landed her a nice article in the Chicago Tribune.

Today, What A Crock! pottery is seen across the country from small offices to luxury homes.  Constant work goes into developing new and creative products that are both functional, beautiful and affordable.

Plus, with What A Crock's new studio, more product can be created on a timely basis so even more people can enjoy the great products What A Crock has become known for.
