What A Crock! Pottery is handcrafted especially for you.  When an order is placed, we have already formed and fired the piece to the "bisque" stage.  We then add the chosen design and fire the piece for the second time at a temperature over 2000 degrees, this insures that the design is permanent and uniquely yours.  You may choose the color, pattern and add personalization to the piece if desired.  This process usually takes about 2 to 3 weeks.

In the case of the "Town" pottery, which is made with inset lettering, these items are made at the time of ordering and can take 4 to 6 weeks to complete as the pieces must be formed, dried, and fired twice.  The exception to this would be an item such as a plate or our new one-gallon crock, which would be done in block lettering and can be done in the usual time frame of 2 to 3 weeks.
