On my wheel is where everything starts off
as a lump of clay. Next is my kiln, then work bench for
glazing or special orders, and finally my staging shelves where
orders move from being dried to glaze to final firing and
eventually to your door!
Our
new studio provides some much needed extra space. Since each
piece is hand made, it has to have time to dry, then go through
the first firing in the kiln, then glaze is added and a second
firing to set the glaze. All the while, more product
stacks up, pieces are cooling and/or drying, and so you can see
how it can take 4 weeks to complete some custom orders. |
